Fact-Checking Policy

Every claim on this site is sourced.

Source hierarchy

  1. Primary peer-reviewed: PMC, Nature, NEJM AI, JAMA. Used for all clinical-efficacy claims.
  2. Regulatory primary: FDA AI/ML-enabled device list, CMS/HHS-OCR, state medical boards.
  3. KLAS and vendor primary: KLAS Research reports (where vendor-published), vendor pricing pages, vendor docs, SOC 2 / HIPAA attestations.
  4. Verified user data: G2, Capterra, Trustpilot — current counts linked directly.
  5. Tier-1 health journalism: MobiHealthNews, STAT News, Fierce Healthcare, NYT/WaPo/WSJ health sections.
  6. Tier-2 journalism: Healthcare IT Today, MedCity News — secondary corroboration.

Vendor blogs and PR material are never used as primary sources for factual claims.

Clinical-evidence verification

Every clinical-efficacy claim links to a specific peer-reviewed study with effect size, sample size, and methodology constraints. Our clinical reviewer verifies claims before publication.

FDA clearance verification

Every FDA-clearance claim links to the FDA's AI/ML-enabled device list entry with clearance number, clearance date, and intended use. Access date recorded per review.

Pricing verification

Pricing is re-verified against vendor pricing pages quarterly. Visible last-reviewed date on every review. Between-cycle changes corrected within 72 hours.

When sources conflict

When vendor-reported data conflicts with third-party data (for example, vendor-claimed accuracy vs. peer-reviewed benchmark), we cite both and explain the discrepancy. We do not pick the higher number.
