Health content on this site is held to a higher editorial standard than ordinary affiliate writing because the tools we review can affect physical health, mental wellbeing, and medical care. Our Medical Review Board provides clinical oversight of every page that touches diagnosis, treatment, or therapy quality.
How the board works
- Every YMYL page (mental-health apps, online therapy, AI symptom checkers, telehealth, AI medical scribes) is read by a board reviewer before publication.
- Reviewers flag claims that misrepresent clinical evidence, regulatory status, or safety. We rewrite or remove flagged claims before shipping.
- Each YMYL page carries a visible "Medically reviewed by [Reviewer Name] on [date]" byline once an active reviewer is in place.
- Reviewers are paid a flat retainer. They have no equity in AI Health Guide and no relationship with any platform we review.
Editorial independence
Reviewers do not see affiliate compensation rates and have no commercial incentive to favor one platform over another. We disclose the FTC settlements involving BetterHelp (2023) and Cerebral (2024) on every relevant review page so readers understand the platform-side track record.
